Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Principal Hardware Engineering Lead for our Strategic Communications and Precision Navigation team in Marlborough, MA. You will guide the hardware design for protected communications and navigation systems, collaborating across disciplines to meet strict performance, reliability, and security standards.

You will oversee the hardware development lifecycle from concept through production, mentor engineers, and drive innovation while interfacing

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years in hardware engineering, with 4+ years leading hardware or CAM responsibilities.
• Proven track record delivering hardware development from concept to production.
• Strong RF/microwave, radar electronics packaging, and mechanical design knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving and clear written/verbal communication.
• EVMS experience on externally reported programs and EAC/LRE processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design and development for protected communication and precision navigation systems.
• Collaborate with program management, finance, chief engineering, software, systems, and test engineering to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee hardware development lifecycle from concept to deployment within timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Oversee testing and validation to ensure standards and customer specs are met.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies to drive secure communications hardware innovation.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
