Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer to lead FPGA architecture and design across major vendors (Xilinx, Altera, Microsemi). Translate system requirements into FPGA solutions, code in VHDL/Verilog, and verify with directed tests.

This 100% onsite role requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of experience, with security clearance; relocation may be offered and you will collaborate with the Effector Digital Products team to deliver high-assurance hardware for weapon

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) plus ~10 years of relevant FPGA experience.
• System-level FPGA requirements specification and architecture development experience.
• Ability to translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Proven experience with FPGA design (VHDL/Verilog) and verification.
• Experience with parts selection, interfaces, and CONOPS for FPGA-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based architecture and design; determine parts, interfaces, CONOPS.
• Establish processes and plans for projects and programs.
• Drive projects to meet schedules and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews.
• Verify designs with directed and constrained random tests and document results.
