RTX is seeking a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead FPGA architecture and design across major vendors such as Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi. The role emphasizes VHDL/Verilog development, architecture definition, and formal verification to deliver reliable embedded processing for weapon system products.

You will collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers, drive requirements from concept through integration, and mentor junior engineers.

Formación

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• System level FPGA requirements specification and architecture development; identify links and impact on projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead FPGA-based systems architecture and design from concept to production.
• Establish processes and operational plans for a project.
• Drive projects on schedule and budget.
• Lead large cross-product teams on multi-year programs.
• Design, develop and verify complex configurable logic.
• Investigate root causes and solution approaches.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and senior leaders.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Write reliable VHDL/Verilog and verify with directed tests.
• Create documentation and verification plans.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
• Support customer interactions and relations.
• Improve processes, systems or products for better performance.
