RTX's Effector Digital Products group in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer to architect and implement FPGA/ASIC solutions using VHDL/Verilog for RF, DSP, and embedded processing. The role is 100% onsite, requires DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

You will lead design efforts across Xilinx, Altera, Microsemi families, translate system requirements into FPGA designs, verify with directed and constrained tests, and produce comprehensive documentation.

Qualifikationen

• System level FPGA requirements specification and architecture development.
• Proposal experience for estimates, resources and schedule planning.
• Strong understanding of design hand-off for system requirements and tests.
• FPGA/ASIC design or verification using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.
• Preferred FPGA design in radar/image/embedded contexts and team leadership.

• Lead FPGA-based systems architecture and design across vendors.
• Establish project processes and operate to schedules and budgets.
• Drive projects independently and mentor junior engineers.
• Design, develop, verify, and document complex configurable logic.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and ensure traceability.
• Create verification plans and user guides; support technical reviews.
