Job summary

RTX's Effector Digital Products team in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer to design FPGA architectures and write VHDL/Verilog for RF/EO DSP, interfaces and controllers.

You will lead projects, collaborate with systems engineers, drive requirements, verification, and documentation, and work onsite at Tucson facilities.

Security clearance is required; US citizenship and ability to obtain interim clearance apply.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• System-level FPGA requirements specification and architecture development.
• FPGA/ASIC design or verification experience with VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based systems architecture and design from concept to production.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and CONOPS.
• Write and verify VHDL/Verilog code for complex, configurable logic.
• Develop documentation including verification plans and user guides.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and junior engineers.
