Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal FPGA Design Engineer to develop FPGA designs for major vendors using VHDL/Verilog. The role requires a DoD security clearance, hands-on FPGA/ASIC experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will work onsite in Tucson, contribute to architecture and verification, and deliver robust FPGA solutions across RF/EO DSP, data links, and embedded processing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant FPGA/ASIC experience.
• Experience with FPGA/ASIC design or verification (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Hands-on experience with FPGA/ASIC integration and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production-quality FPGA releases from concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems, determine parts and interfaces.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and code in VHDL.
• Verify designs with directed tests and constrained random methods.
• Lead projects and manage documentation, reviews, and customer interactions.
