Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across Washington state. Based in Vancouver, Richland, or Walla Walla, WA, you will grow our local presence, mentor staff, and drive successful delivery with our engineering teams.

You will lead business development, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, using best-practice PMO processes in a dynamic, growth-focused firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience managing transportation projects in WA and/or OR.
• Professional Engineer license in WA and OR or ability to obtain both within six months.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary transportation design projects from pursuit through construction.
• Strong knowledge of WSDOT Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD, and local standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with annual totals exceeding $3 million.
• Lead business development efforts for infrastructure projects across WA and OR.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Serve as Project Manager and/or Principal-in-Charge for complex infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
