Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer in Winston-Salem, NC to lead the development and sustainment of seating controls, power supplies, and actuators for business and first-class seating. You will oversee hardware lifecycle from pursuit to factory transition, including design requirements, testing, and integration.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in STEM, hands-on troubleshooting, experience with CAN Bus, RS-485 and Ethernet, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with CAN Bus, RS-485, and Ethernet.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven root cause analysis and corrective action leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead LRU development through all design phases.
• Design and analyze CCAs for seating actuation.
• Coordinate hardware integration and testing.
• Capture schematics for complex electronics.
• Oversee PCB layout with DTC/DFM/DFT.
• Mentor junior engineers and delegate tasks.
• Support qualification, certification, and RCCA.
