Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Seating, Engineered Components team in a U.S.-based role. You will lead the development and sustainment of seating controls, power supplies, actuators, and related peripherals for business and first-class configurations.

You will drive the hardware lifecycle from pursuit to factory transition, including design verification, integration testing, and field support, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring robust manufacturing

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 10+ years’ experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience with serial protocols: CAN Bus, RS-485, Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Lead LRU development through all design phases.
• Design and analyze CCAs for seating actuation and cabin peripherals.
• Work with lab equipment for hardware integration testing.
• Schematic capture of complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs.
• Oversee PCB layout and ensure DTC/DFM/DFT compliance.
• Mentor engineers and support qualification of LRUs.
