Job summary
Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to own the analytical foundation behind pricing decisions across the enterprise. You will lead competitive price intelligence, the recurring pricing analytics suite, and provide recommendations on price architecture, promotions, and markdown timing.
You will partner with Merchants, Merchandising Finance, and Marketing to defend price point strategies and drive data-driven decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4–7 years of analytical experience in retail pricing.
- Advanced Excel with scenario modeling.
- SQL proficiency for data sourcing and validation.
- Strong margins knowledge and pricing levers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to mentor junior analysts.
Responsibilities
- Own competitive price intelligence and pricing data sets for assigned categories.
- Lead price point analysis and assess margin impact, elasticity, and historical performance.
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and recommend offers to repeat or retire.
- Own markdown analytics and monitor sell-through and margin recovery.
- Build and maintain pricing models to quantify P&L impact before decisions.
