Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Senior Analyst, Margin Forecasting to own the margin forecast model, maintain a driver-based forecast, and translate cost, pricing, and demand inputs into a forward view of margin.

You will partner with Merchants, Sourcing, Pricing, and Merchandise Finance; deliver executive reports and dashboards; and help the business act on margin insights to support planning and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, merchandise finance, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong understanding of retail margin mechanics, including initial markup and landed cost.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; SQL strongly preferred.
• Ability to present findings clearly to finance and non-finance leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the margin forecast model and maintain a driver-based forecast spanning markup, landed cost, markdown, mix, and shrink.
• Drive the rolling forecast cadence with latest cost, pricing, and demand inputs.
• Decompose margin performance into volume, rate, and mix with clear attribution to actions.
• Model scenarios for pricing actions, cost changes, promotions, and assortment shifts.
• Explain margin variances and provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Deliver executive margin reporting and dashboards with clear narratives.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Pricing, and Merchandise Finance to align forecasts with plans.
