Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst to own the analytical foundation for pricing decisions across the enterprise. You’ll shape price architecture, promotions, and markdowns, partnering with Merchants, Merchandise Finance, and Marketing to defend recommendations and ensure data-driven decisions.

You will set analytical standards for pricing, guide junior analysts, and move from data to strategic recommendations while presenting to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of analytical experience in retail pricing, merchandising, planning, or finance.
• Advanced Excel with scenario modeling and large data handling.
• Proficiency in SQL to source, join, and validate data across systems.
• Strong command of retail margin mechanics and drivers of gross margin.
• Strong written and verbal communication with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and mentor less experienced analysts.

Responsibilities

• Own competitive price intelligence and translate it into actionable pricing recommendations.
• Lead price point analysis, including margin impact, elasticity, and historical performance.
• Evaluate promotional effectiveness and advise on offers to repeat or retire.
• Own markdown analytics; model depth and timing, monitor sell-through and margin recovery.
• Build pricing models to quantify P&L impact before decisions.
