Job summary

Lumen is building AI-ready connectivity and monetization strategies across cloud, AI, and digital product portfolios. As a Senior Monetization Strategist, you will shape promotional offers and long-term monetization framework across cloud and AI-enabled services, guiding cross-functional teams and developing scalable, testable pricing motions.

You’ll measure outcomes, advise on tradeoffs, and present executive-ready business cases that connect pricing to growth and customer value.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing and implementing pricing strategies, including usage metering, rate structures, unit economics, and scalable monetization models.
• Six plus years of related experience in pricing, monetization strategy, financial analysis, product analytics, cloud economics, or commercial strategy.
• Significant experience developing pricing or monetization strategies for cloud platforms, SaaS, AI-enabled products, APIs, or digital ecosystems.
• Advanced proficiency with financial modeling, SQL, Python, BI tools, and analytics methods used to evaluate pricing performance, unit economics, and market opportunities.
• Strong executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across senior technical, financial, and commercial audiences.
• Experience guiding complex initiatives in large, matrixed organizations and influencing without direct authority.
• Enterprise technology, cloud, SaaS, Telecommunications, or B2B platform pricing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead promotional pricing strategy, rate design, marketing coordination, communication and governance.
• Develop scalable and repeatable motions that can be tested and changed over time.
• Align pricing architecture with customer value, usage, outcomes, product strategy, and long-term growth.
• Identify new revenue opportunities that maximize our network and bring value to our customers.
• Build financial models and evaluate unit economics, margins, customer behavior, scalability, and market benchmarks.
• Use analytics and cohort modeling to understand the effectiveness of new initiatives.
• Partner with product, engineering, finance, sales, marketing, and go-to-market teams to translate technical capabilities into viable offers.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on cloud and AI monetization, advising stakeholders on tradeoffs, risks, and best practices.
• Present executive-ready business cases and recommendations that connect pricing decisions to customer value, financial impact, and growth.
