Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst to own the analytical foundation for pricing decisions across the enterprise. You will lead competitive price intelligence, the recurring pricing analytics suite, and pricing strategy, working with Merchants, Merchandise Finance, and Marketing to defend price points and measure promotions.

You will also set analytics standards, provide guidance to less experienced analysts, and drive automation of recurring analyses while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field
• 4-7 years of analytical experience in retail pricing, merchandising, planning, or finance
• Advanced Excel with scenario modeling
• SQL proficiency to join and validate data across systems
• Strong understanding of retail margin mechanics and pricing levers
• Strong written and verbal communication; experience presenting to senior leadership
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and mentor others

Responsibilities

• Own competitive price intelligence and translate data into actionable pricing recommendations
• Lead price point analysis and assess margin impact and elasticity
• Evaluate promotional effectiveness and decide which offers to repeat or retire
• Model markdown depth and timing; monitor sell-through and margins
• Develop and maintain pricing-scenario tools and P&L impact analysis
• Design and own pricing dashboards with reliable data definitions
• Ensure data integrity and standardization across reports
• Automate recurring analyses to reduce manual work
• Lead complex ad hoc analyses and present clear recommendations
• Govern price change execution with accuracy and controls
• Maintain pricing governance documentation and history
• Collaborate with Merchants, Finance, and Marketing on pricing analytics
• Guide junior analysts on methodology and QA standards
