Job summary

ePlus Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect (Presales) in New York, NY. Must be within a one-hour commute to Midtown Manhattan and willing to work on-site at 1 Penn Plaza two days per week to design secure, scalable architectures and guide regional sales teams.

You will lead technical discovery, craft BOMs and proposals, and partner with OEM teams. This role requires strong enterprise networking expertise and Cisco/Multi‑vendor experience, with a base salary range discussed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in designing or implementing complex network or systems/storage solutions.
• 3+ years of experience in providing pre‑sales engineering support.
• Enterprise Network Architecture & Design: Designing complex enterprise networking solutions across routing, switching, WAN, wireless, data center, network security, and cloud connectivity.
• Multi‑Vendor Technical Expertise: Deep experience with Cisco solutions and integration across Arista, Aruba, Fortinet, Juniper, Extreme Networks, or equivalent.
• Presales Solution Development: Lead technical discovery and translate customer requirements into BOMs, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and professional services requirements.
• Commercial & Services Acumen: Understand opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and revenue contribution.
• Communication & Professional Credentials: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; relevant certifications preferred (Cisco CCNP/CCIE Enterprise, HPE/Juniper, Arista, Extreme).

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical enterprise networking lead for account teams and customer stakeholders.
• Run discovery to capture business and technical requirements, then propose the ePlus solution (hardware, software, and services).
• Design and document solution architecture, detailed configurations, and BOMs.
• Build and deliver customer-facing presentations, proposals, and solution reviews.
• Lead technical scoping sessions for Statements of Work on installation, configuration and day-2/managed deals.
• Author the technical sections of RFP/RFI/RFQ responses.
