Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities on large-volume commercial projects. Based remote from anywhere in the US, you will develop preliminary budgets, value engineering, schedules, procurement plans, and bid analysis, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to drive accurate estimates and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, construction management, building construction or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in estimating, common code requirements, and design/build estimating and preconstruction with a concentration in large commercial construction.
• Minimum 2-3 years of project management experience.
• Experience with computerized estimating systems and software; strong conceptual estimating skills.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices; extensive knowledge of electrical.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Experience and skills in project management leadership and practices; understanding of the project life.
• LEAN methodologies and applications; strong process orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates opportunities to build long-term relationships with general contractors, owners, and engineers through networking and marketing.
• Reviews drawings, specifications, and construction documents; communicates risks and information to the team.
• Prepares budgets, estimates, and bid proposals.
• Provides real-time cost analysis to meet project budgets and schedules.
• Prepares preliminary to construction estimates and studies; monitors cost trends.
• Directs value engineering and collaborates with architects and engineers on design.
• Maintains estimating records, unit prices, and budget estimates.
• Supports project managers in subcontractor evaluations.
