Job summary

AllSearch Recruiting is aiding a client in finding an experienced Preconstruction Manager for remote roles across the US. The position oversees estimating, bid management, and project pricing for large-scale construction, including modular methods.

The candidate will lead a team and coordinate with design, engineering, and operations across multiple projects valued around $20M+. Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 per year with profit sharing, health benefits, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating or preconstruction experience.
• Experience with commercial or multifamily general contractors, including leadership in estimating roles.
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects valued at roughly $20M or greater.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction activities across multiple projects valued at $20M+.
• Develop subcontractor bid packages and manage solicitations, proposals, and buyouts.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project pricing.
• Review subcontractor scope, identify gaps, and resolve pricing discrepancies.
• Coordinate civil/sitework, MEP, and other subcontracted scopes.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and project buyout prior to turnover.
• Review drawings and design documents to support estimating accuracy.
• Lead and mentor estimating staff and coordinate deliverables.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, and operations teams.
