Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager for its Global Engineering Services North America Design & Construction team. You will autonomously manage cross-functional preconstruction projects for fulfillment facilities, negotiating contracts and guiding design management from site selection to hand-off.

Role requires 60% regional travel and relocation flexibility; you will coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction teams and external stakeholders to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7+ years of experience in Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager/Development Manager/Owner’s PM or related disciplines.
• 7+ years of project management experience from design through implementation and operation, including negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage complex cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and Launch/Startup and external partners to secure resources and drive delivery to deadlines.
• Oversee design management end-to-end, including evaluations, conformance reviews, and value engineering.
• Manage project budgets, spend approvals, scheduling, and cashflow forecasting.
• Lead external partner selection, contract negotiations, and procurement functions.
• Mentor and guide preconstruction managers and contribute to process improvements.
