Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Precon and Estimating Manager to provide direction for the preconstruction process and align with the company strategy and values. The role leads bids, cost estimates, and presentations to win projects, while overseeing teams and maintaining client relationships.

The position requires extensive estimating experience, a relevant degree, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field required.
10+ years construction estimating experience.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel, occasional overnight travel.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

Leads overall preconstruction process, delivering competitive bids, negotiated proposals, cost estimates and budgets.
Prepares and executes project win strategies for interviews and presentations to support business development.
Oversees project teams to ensure successful preconstruction execution and completion.
Manages relationships with key clients and design team contacts during preconstruction.
Capable of performing estimating tasks as needed, including self‑perform estimating.
Creates conceptual budgets and reports accurate project cost history.
Partners with operations to review project risk, scoring and completion.
Reviews project business plan with stakeholders to ensure alignment and profitability.
Promotes diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn and ensures non‑discrimination policies are followed.
