Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Senior Precon and Estimating Manager to guide the preconstruction process in line with our strategy. You will lead bids, budgets, and proposals, directing cross-functional teams to deliver compelling estimates.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of estimating experience, a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, and strong leadership. Expect travel, client interaction, and collaboration with operations to enhance profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Required).
• 10+ years construction estimating experience.
• People management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall preconstruction process and deliverables (bids, proposals, budgets).
• Prepare for interviews and lead internal/external presentations to support business development.
• Oversee project teams and ensure successful preconstruction execution.
• Manage relationships with key clients and design teams during preconstruction.
• Capable of performing estimating tasks, including self-perform estimating.
• Create conceptual budgets and report project cost history.
• Collaborate with operations on risk assessment and profitability.
