Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Director to provide leadership across all phases of the project lifecycle in Tampa, FL. You will drive operational excellence, financial management, and stakeholder relationships to meet contractual and financial targets.

In this role you will lead safety, strategy, and client relationship efforts, manage risks and contracts, and oversee preconstruction and scheduling.

Qualifications

• 15+ years construction management experience
• 5+ years people management experience
• Demonstrated success in leading multiple large or complex projects
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
• Willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership for the assigned project or work program across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Leads safety culture and ensures injury-free environment through actions and mentoring.
• Supports strategy development and company-wide initiatives.
• Provides strategic direction to team members aligned with client relation strategy.
• Manages project risks, change orders, contingency expenditures and fee enhancements.
• Develops subcontractor strategy and manages relationships with subcontractors.
• Leads preconstruction discussions with clients and external partners.
• Oversees project and schedule review throughout lifecycle.
• Manages staffing and resource planning to meet commitments.
• Acts as face of the organization in community and industry engagement.
