Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer to advance cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, supporting the full estimating process on building projects. This role will help prepare detailed estimates and collaborate with design teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids.

You will lead vendor quote analysis, develop constructability input, and present estimates to clients while maintaining JE Dunn’s preconstruction schedules and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and construction estimating software.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively with stakeholders including project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Gains field exposure through onsite project support.
