Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Precast Inspector III to lead plant QC programs, prepare facilities for PCI audits and DOT approvals, and resolve structural questions on prestressed products. You will supervise Level I and II inspectors across multiple plants, audit supplier facilities, and drive corrective actions to maintain certification and safety standards.

Pay ranges $38 to $50 per hour with travel between plants on a project basis; overtime during busy

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead the corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
