Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III to act as the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare plants for PCI audits and DOT approvals, and resolve structural acceptance questions alongside the engineer of record.

You will supervise Level I and II inspectors, conduct supplier plant audits, and lead corrective actions while traveling between plants as needed; expect early hours with per diem as

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record
• Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects
