Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III, the senior QC authority responsible for establishing plant QC programs and preparing plants for PCI audits and DOT approvals.

You will supervise Level I and II inspectors, audit supplier plants, resolve structural acceptance questions, and travel to project sites with per diem as assigned. Pay ranges $38 to $50 per hour.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current.
• 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals; lead the corrective actions.
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
