Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior Precast Concrete Inspector III to lead plant QC programs, prepare for PCI certification audits, and resolve prestressed product questions with the engineer of record.

This role supervises Level I and II inspectors, audits supplier plants for owners and agencies, and guides PCI/DOT compliance across projects; travel between plants with per diem as assigned and pay ranging from $38 to $50 per hour depending on certifications and experience.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals per PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across multiple plants and projects.
