Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Inspector III who serves as the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. The role involves establishing plant QC programs, preparing for PCI audits, and addressing structural acceptance questions with engineers of record.

The ideal candidate will hold PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III and have 6+ years of experience, including supervision, with knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III (current).
• 6+ years in precast and prestressed QC, including supervision.
• Familiar with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT specs.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting audits.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
