Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III to serve as the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare facilities for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals, and resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record.

The role requires PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, 6+ years in precast QC including supervision, and the ability to audit supplier plants and work

Qualifications

• Current PCI Level III QC certification with 6+ years in precast and prestressed QC, including supervision.
• Strong command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT specs for precast and prestressed work.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals per PCI/DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; supervise Level I/II inspectors.
• Walk the plant yard and test the manual in practice.
