Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector III, the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant quality control programs, prepare for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals, resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record, and supervise Level I and II inspectors.

Qualifications

PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current; 6+ years in precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
In-depth knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit; credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
Lead corrective actions; resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
