Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III, the senior authority for precast and prestressed QC. You will establish plant quality control programs, prepare facilities for PCI audits, and resolve complex acceptance questions with the engineer of record.

You will supervise Level I and II inspectors across multiple plants, audit supplier plants for owners and agencies, and lead corrective actions to maintain PCI and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current.
• 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC experience including supervision.
• Familiar with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT specifications.
• Experience preparing plants for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead the corrective actions; resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
