Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III to lead plant QC programs and audits, ensuring PCI and DOT compliance. The role requires PCI Level III certification and extensive experience with prestressed precast products.

You will supervise Level I and II inspectors, coordinate audits, and work with owners and engineers of record to resolve structural acceptance issues. Travel between plants is common; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
