Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior Precast Inspector III to lead plant QC programs, drive PCI certification readiness, and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products. You will supervise Level I and II inspectors and coordinate with engineers of record and DOT inspectors.

The role requires PCI Certification Level III, 6+ years of precast QC including supervision, and deep knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT standards; travel to multiple plants is common.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit; credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals
• Lead the corrective actions
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies
• Qualify precast suppliers
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects
