Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector III to serve as the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare plants for PCI audits, resolve structural acceptance questions, and supervise Level I and II inspectors across multiple plants.

Pay ranges from $38 to $50 per hour with travel between plants for owner and agency inspections and per diem as assigned; work begins before dawn to align with plant

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies; supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
