Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III, the senior authority on precast and prestressed QC, to establish plant QC programs, prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals, and resolve structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record.

You will audit supplier plants for owners and agencies, supervise Level I and II inspectors across multiple plants and projects, and lead corrective actions. Travel may be required with per diem as assigned.

Qualifications

• PCI Level III QC certification is required and current.
• 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC experience including supervision.
• Familiar with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
