Job summary

Alkira, a Lumen Connect Solution, seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer for Pre-Sales to own the technical side of large enterprise deals from first conversation through POC to close. This remote East Coast role requires residence on the East Coast, USA, with travel roughly 25%.

You will partner with Account Managers, demo the Alkira platform to technical decision makers, and influence roadmap through field feedback. Strong networking, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity expertise are essential.

Qualifications

8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales engineering role.
Strong networking fundamentals with routing protocol expertise.
Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking and security concepts.
Ability to demo and articulate Alkira’s value to technical buyers.

Responsibilities

Present and demo the Alkira platform to technical decision makers from engineers to CIOs.
Articulate value proposition and understand market, industry and competitive landscape.
Partner with Account Managers to capture customer requirements and respond to RFP/RFIs.
Scope, run and win PoCs end to end.
Assist with design and deployment guidance based on best practices.
Provide product feedback from customer perspective to Product Management.
Track customer feature requests with Product Management toward implementation.
