• Lead Technical Feasibility: act as main pre-sales technical contact and evaluate weld feasibility from parts and drawings.
• Architect Welding Automation Concepts: select welding processes, power sources, tooling, and robotic cell layouts.
• Develop Technical Proposals: collaborate with Sales and Engineering to produce proposal content and BOMs.
• Conduct Process Trials & Testing: coordinate weld samples, process trials, and feasibility testing.
• Customer Collaboration & Travel: travel to customer sites (~15% travel) to gather requirements and present solutions.
• Code & Compliance Oversight: ensure processes meet AWS D1.1, ASME IX and client specs.
