Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer specializing in robotic welding and automated systems for the Pewaukee, WI area. This direct-hire role is 1st shift, on-site, with travel up to 15% for technical discovery and proposals.

You will lead as the pre-sales technical interface, evaluate customer prints, architect robotic cell concepts (FANUC/ABB), and develop compelling proposal packages.

Qualifications

Requires degree: 2-year tech or 4-year engineering with 7+ years in robotic welding.
Experience with GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG and in pre-sales quoting.
US work authorization (Citizen or GC) and commuting to Pewaukee area.

Responsibilities

Lead pre-sales technical feasibility reviews of customer parts and drawings.
Architect welding automation concepts and robot cell layouts (FANUC/ABB).
Develop technical proposals with layouts, cycle-time estimates, labor hours, and BOMs.
Coordinate weld sample evaluations, trials, and feasibility testing.
Travel to customer sites (~15%) for requirements gathering and reviews.
Ensure weld processes meet AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and customer specs.
