Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Senior Presales Systems Engineer for Northern New Jersey to support State, Local Government, and K-12 accounts. You will partner with Territory Managers to design solutions, win deals, and become a trusted technical advisor.

The role focuses on end-to-end networking design, presentations, PoCs, and proposals, with travel within the NJ territory and collaboration with customers, partners, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in infrastructure, systems engineering, or pre-sales for enterprise networking.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to turn technical requirements into practical business solutions.
• Comfort working with customers, partners, sales, and executives.
• Live in the Northern New Jersey territory and travel onsite to customers.
• Gather customer requirements and tailor solution designs to the account.
• Recommend the best delivery approach for each customer, not just the architecture.
• Combine technical depth with business acumen to show how HPE delivers measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Work with Territory Managers to qualify and close opportunities.
• Design end-to-end networking solutions against customer requirements.
• Deliver presentations, demos, workshops, and PoCs.
• Write technical proposals and architecture recommendations.
• Position HPE against competitors on technical and business value.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Support channel and demand‑gen activity in the territory.
• Stay current on networking technology and competitive trends.
• Support complex deals from discovery through deployment.
