Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer for robotic welding and automated systems in the Pewaukee, WI area. This direct-hire role is 1st shift, on-site, with travel about 15% for technical discovery and proposals.

Requires 7+ years in robotic welding and pre-sales, plus a 2- or 4-year engineering/technical degree and US work authorization. Competitive salary up to $125,000/year with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of welding automation/pre-sales experience.
• Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG processes.
• Proficient in reviewing/drafting cell layouts in CAD tools.
• US Citizenship or Green Card holder and Pewaukee-area resident.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical feasibility by reviewing parts, drawings and specs.
• Architect welding automation concepts and cell layouts (FANUC/ABB).
• Develop technical proposals with budgets, layouts and BOMs.
• Coordinate weld trials and feasibility testing with teams.
• Travel to customer sites ~15% for requirements gathering and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.
