Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer focused on robotic welding and automated systems for our Pewaukee, WI facility. This direct-hire, 1st-shift role is on-site with ~15% travel for technical discovery and proposals.

Base salary reaches up to $125,000/yr plus 401(k) match and full health/dental/vision/life benefits. You will be the primary pre-sales technical lead, evaluating customer prints, architecting robotic cells (FANUC/ABB), and compiling technical proposals.

Qualifications

7+ years of technical expertise in welding automation, pre-sales application engineering, or robotic systems integration.
Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, and robotic arc welding processes.
Proficiency reviewing or drafting conceptual cell layouts using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Professional presentation and communication skills for client interfacing.

Responsibilities

Lead Technical Feasibility: review customer parts and specs to evaluate weld feasibility.
Architect Welding Automation Concepts: specify welding processes, power sources, tooling, and cell layouts.
Develop Technical Proposals: generate proposal content, layouts, cycle times, labor hours, and BOMs.
Conduct Process Trials & Testing: coordinate weld sample evaluations and feasibility testing.
Travel to customer facilities ~15% to gather requirements and present solutions.
Ensure weld processes comply with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX and customer specs.
