Job summary

Neo4j, the graph intelligence platform, seeks a Sr. Pre-Sales Engineer for Financial Services & Insurance to partner with Sales Engineering. You will demonstrate value of the graph data platform, manage technical sales cycles, and help customers in the financial sector understand Neo4j use cases and ROI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in a similar capacity (Sales/Pre-sales/Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, etc).
• Experience with enterprise data architecture, data analytics or cloud data architecture.
• Knowledge of graph databases (Neo4j, TigerGraph, OrientDB, JanusGraph) is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases; proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript or Go.
• Familiarity with GenAI, LLMs and Agentic AI.
• Experience designing and implementing data solutions in the cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on-premise.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for financial services.

Responsibilities

• Articulate business and technical value of Neo4j to customers and prospects.
• Drive and run the technology evaluation stage of sales cycles.
• Manage multiple opportunities with qualification, discovery, demonstrations, and documentation.
• Build rapport with customer stakeholders and act as trusted advisor.
• Co-create reference/solution architectures including cloud and on-prem deployments.
• Stay current on Neo4j capabilities and third-party integrations.
• Communicate customer needs to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing.
• Participate in account-based marketing events and industry conferences.
• Lead by example and foster teamwork, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Travel as needed to assist deal creation and closure.
