Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking an experienced Retail and CPG Sr. Solutions Architect to partner with Account Executives and lead the technical strategy for marquee accounts.

You will guide the technical journey, enable adoption of Databricks solutions, and mentor team members across complex data initiatives. You will communicate a clear data-driven value proposition, architect solutions across Hadoop/NoSQL/MPP stacks, and drive deployment of ML & AI capabilities within Retail/CPG use cases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in very large Retail/CPG accounts (> $1m ARR)
• 4+ years in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activity
• Technical in big data, data science, and cloud
• Ability in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
• 4+ years of design/implementation experience in big data tech such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP/OLAP or full lifecycle data science solutions
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification

Responsibilities

• You will work with 1-5 clients as the main technical voice for Databricks
• You will lead customers on a transformational journey, helping them evaluate and adopt Databricks
• You will implement the technical strategy in the account with a close understanding of the strategy
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
• You will provide structured mentorship for other team members
