Job summary

EDF power solutions North America seeks a Sr. Pre-Construction Manager in San Diego, CA.

The role is hybrid, typically Tue–Thu in the office, leading regional pre-construction for solar, wind, storage, and HV projects across the EDF Renewables Grid-Scale Power portfolio. You will oversee EPC procurement from RFP launch to contract execution,BoP cost estimating, risk analysis, and scheduling, while supporting project acquisition, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of renewables EPC project experience.
• Experience negotiating with EPC Contractors on contracts > $100M.
• Cost estimation and quantity takeoff experience.
• Knowledge of renewable power plant design (electrical, civil).
• Familiarity with national/regional regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional project portfolio: evaluate EPC costs, schedule, and risks across projects.
• Lead procurement activities: issue RFPs, coordinate bids, and select contractors.
• Support permitting, offtake negotiations, and construction activities.
• Conduct site visits and stakeholder meetings; monitor market requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement: develop processes and tools; reduce LCOE.
