EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Senior Pre-Construction Manager to lead regional pre-construction efforts for Solar, On-Shore Wind, HV, and Energy Storage within the Grid-Scale portfolio. You will coordinate EPC procurement, cost estimating, risk analysis, and scheduling with cross-functional teams.

This hybrid role is based in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo) with three in-office days. You will support project acquisition, offtake negotiation, permitting, stakeholder engagement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• 7+ years in renewables EPC market and project development.
• Experience negotiating EPC contracts >$100M.
• Knowledge of renewable power plant design.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
• Proficiency in English and French.
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional EPC costs, schedules, and risks with cross-functional teams.
• Review engineering studies and preliminary design drawings.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate contractor bids.
• Lead procurement of EPC services and contractor Q&A.
• Support permitting, offtake negotiations, and project handover.
• Develop processes and tools for continuous improvement.
• Attend industry conferences and manage contractor relationships.
