Job summary

MYR Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee the engineering aspects of electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding to closeout.

You will manage design subcontractors, coordinate equipment procurement, interface with vendors, and support design reviews, construction, and startup. Travel up to 25% is required, with a PE license and 7+ years in related fields.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management experience related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus
• Construction related experience or EPC project experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide from bidding to closeout
• Coordinate all detailed design engineering subcontractors and field liaison activities
• Coordinate all engineered equipment and material procurement activities
• Interface with equipment vendors and expediting procurement deliverables
• Prepare the engineering and equipment procurement requirements of the project
• Schedule day-to-day engineering subcontractor and equipment procurement activities with Project Executive/Project Manager
• Manage testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects
• Travel up to 25% and ensure compliance with company standards
