Job summary

MYR Energy Services is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding to closeout. You will lead engineering design, coordinate subcontractors, and support owner design reviews.

The role requires 7+ years in design/engineering or PM for electrical EPC projects, a PE license, and ability to travel up to 25%. Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Eng.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or PM for electrical transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license required; EPC/contracting experience preferred.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide from bidding to closeout.
• Coordinate design engineering subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Interface with vendors and procure equipment and materials.
• Prepare engineering and procurement requirements and schedule activities.
• Support owner design reviews, construction, and startup; manage testing/commissioning contractor.
• Travel up to 25% and ensure compliance with ethics and company standards.
