Job summary

MYR Energy Services is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee the engineering of nationwide EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects from bidding through closeout. You will support design reviews, construction/startup coordination, and final 'as built' design submissions.

The role requires 7+ years in design, engineering, or EPC project management for electrical projects, a PE license, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical plans and specifications related to electrical work.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player able to work with diverse partners.
• Self-driven with focus on task execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering of EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects from bidding to closeout.
• Coordinate design engineering subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Manage procurement of equipment and materials and interface with vendors.
• Prepare engineering and equipment procurement requirements for projects.
• Schedule day-to-day engineering subcontractor and equipment procurement activities with project leadership.
• Oversee testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
• Ensure adherence to Company Code of Business Conduct and ethics.
