Job summary

MYR Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee engineering for nationwide EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects from bidding to closeout.

You will coordinate engineering subcontractors, support owner design reviews, and manage procurement and commissioning activities. The role requires 7+ years in related engineering or project management, a PE license, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management for electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• Construction/EPC project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide.
• Coordinate design subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Interface with equipment vendors and manage procurement deliverables.
• Prepare engineering and equipment procurement requirements.
• Develop and track construction schedules for engineering and procurement.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractors for EPC projects.
• Perform additional duties as directed by project leadership.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
