Job summary

MYR Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to lead engineering for electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding through closeout. You will coordinate design subcontractors, interface with vendors, and manage procurement requirements with project leadership.

Travel up to 25% may be required. The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and 7+ years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 7+ years of design, engineering, or project management experience in electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• EPC project experience or construction-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide from bidding to closeout.
• Coordinate all design subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Interface with vendors and manage procurement information and deliverables.
• Prepare engineering and equipment procurement requirements for the project.
• Schedule engineering subcontractors and procurement activities with project leadership.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
• Adhere to company ethics and professional standards.
