Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation in Waltham is seeking a Senior Practice Assistant to support patients through their care experience and help the practice run smoothly in a fast-paced clinical environment. This 100% on-site role offers free parking and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 3–5 years of office experience, and strong MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of office experience required.
• Strong technology and MS Office skills.
• Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties.
• Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
• Assist callers with routine inquiries and triage matters appropriately.
• Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record (EPIC).
• Acts as "Super User" for scheduling, registration and billing systems. Provides assistance and training to others in these areas.
• May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level.
• Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
